MATERIAL
My Windbooks consist of a hand-woven cover, using luxurious materials such as silk, Merino wool, mohair or alpaca, as well as flax, paper or branches of herbs – depending on what best matches the textual content.
The texts are being printed on pure rag-paper. The Windbooks have a cord that allows them to be fitted to any branch, roof beam or rod, leaving them free to dance in the breeze.
Vow - Liebesschwur.
Everything is possible.
Warp: silver-wire from the 1930s.
Wheft: cottoline, algue, and grassroot.
The colour design, pattern and material of the fabric reflect what is described in the text, forming a unit with the contents and thus underlining its expressive power.
